Daily Operations FAQ

Where do I change the camera or printer?

Open the gear icon (Settings) on the welcome screen of the booth app. Use the Camera or Printer section to select the device; for more options (quality, ratio, paper size, alignment), open Camera settings or Printer settings. See Booth app settings.

Where do I set paper size or print alignment?

Open the gear icon (Settings)PrinterPrinter settings. Set Orientation and Page size for paper dimensions; use Margins or Print position shift if the image is cropped or shifted. See Booth app settings.

Where do I set the operator PIN (for skip payment)?

Open the gear icon (Settings) on the welcome screen and use the PIN section to set or change the operator PIN. This PIN is used for skip payment and to unlock operator actions. See Booth app settings and Customer Handling.

How do I skip payment for a customer?

If payment is enabled but you want to let a guest through without paying, use the skip payment (or equivalent) action in the app at the checkout step. The exact label depends on your app version; it is typically available to operators on the payment screen. See Customer Handling.

How do reruns and reprints work?

  • Rerun (retake): The guest can redo the capture or selection within the same session (e.g. wrong photo chosen). Retake rules (how many, when) are set in the project. See Queue, Retake, Reprints.
  • Reprint: After the session is finished, you can reprint from the result screen or from the gallery in the dashboard (if supported). See Customer Handling and Queue, Retake, Reprints.

Where do I check upload status?

In the Platform dashboard: Gallery or Transactions (depending on your setup) show sessions and whether media has uploaded. If a session is “pending” or stuck, check network and see Network Issues.

What should I do if the booth is lagging mid-session?

Pause or finish the current guest if possible. Check that no other heavy apps are running, that the camera is not disconnecting, and that disk space is sufficient. If the app is unresponsive, close it and restart; if the PC is slow, restart the PC. See Troubleshooting Overview.

Can I change the project while the booth is running?

Yes. Changing the active project in the dashboard will sync to the app when it has internet. New sessions will use the new project. Any session already in progress will typically complete with the project that was active when it started.
